DUKE GARWOOD live in Folkestone…is really quite a thing!
Now if folks get this straight away, is another thing…and it’s down to us here at The Chambers to make you, the music appreciating public, aware of how much of a ‘thing’ this really is…so here goes!
Duke will be touring with his live trio & will feature John J Presley on bass, Paul V may on drums & percussion, Duke Garwood on guitar, vocals, keys, clarinet & saxophone.
Here’s some of Dukes current & past collaborations, partnerships, musical marriages & more:-
His latest collaboration was with ‘Morcheeba’ on Blackest Blue.
Previous release with ‘Last Party on Earth’ with Hifi Club.
‘With Animals’ on Subsound Records.
‘Black Pudding’ released with Mark Lanegan, on Heavenly Recordings.
All received widespread critical acclaim & a sold out tour of the UK & Europe.
Garwoodβs last 2 solo records, ‘Heavy Love’ & ‘Garden of Ashes’ also received high praise.
The Chambers is blown away to bring an artiste of this calibre to #folkestonemusictown let ALONE to actually have them appearing on our venue stage!!
Duke carries a depth of performance & charisma which is instantly acknowledgeable from his tone and delivery…you don’t need to hear a great deal from Duke to know exactly what he’s all about with his music. Atmospheric, considered, musically just spot on & captivating.
The collaborations of his career speak for themselves, with Duke having toured and played extensively with Mark Lanegan, Savages, Dave Gahan and Soulsavers, Seasick Steve, Kurt Vile, Wire, Josh T Pearson and Archie Bronson Outfit.
We encourage you to spread the word & definitely get out to see something live & very special…this will be a rare treat for the town.
