The HANGING STARS

Support from RALPH.

Channelling the sounds of The Byrds, Big Star and The Flying Burrito Brothers, as well as hints of Mojave 3 and The Allah Las, The Hanging Stars mainline the dying embers of the early 70s psychedelic folk and cosmic country scenes.

The band is comprised of songwriter, singer and guitarist Richard Olson, Sam Ferman on bass, Paulie Cobra on drums, Patrick Ralla on banjo, guitar, keyboards and assorted instruments, with pedal steel courtesy of Joe Harvey-Whyte and hail out of the ‘Smoke’.

Having just released the latest single ‘Sweet Light’ from their Dec 2023 released album ‘On A Golden Shore’, the band are naturally on a supportive tour for the new pressings and are flying high and hot!

This will be the bands first foray into Folkestone and The Chambers. They bring with them a following born of polished performances across the country and across many waters too!

A highlight being Third Man Records live stage ‘The Blue Room’ in Nashville with the approving face of Jack White looking on!

Accolades for this slick outfit that skim & knit genres from different eras with ease have been thick & fast, with the new album gaining traction by the day!

We’re really stoked to be able to have them play here at Folkestone and would HEARTILY encourage the music lovers out there to be getting a shimmy on and head towards tickets fast as can be done!

This is one good, good band who’re still carving themselve’s their very own unique slot on the shelves of music lovers over many lands. A quick check of platforms confirms this with thousands of monthly listeners and huge plays globally. We’re VERY happy to bring them to our/your town! Make the most of this chance to see a band like this on your doorstep!
