Our fully licensed Coffee Shop situated on the corner of Sandgate Road and Cheriton Place is in the very heart of Folkestone town centre. Its huge glazed and ornate Mucha styled windows allow for the best vista to watch the world pass by.

With plentiful seating inside and out, you can enjoy our single estate Peruvian coffee that’s from the same suppliers now as when we first opened in 2001. Each and every cup handmade to your liking!

We offer light lunch menu options; alongside our full main menu, daily baked in-house pastries plus vegan and gluten free cake options.

We’ve exhibited local & national art all year round since 2001, which is displayed 24 hours a day using our bespoke window hanging & lighting system.

For artiste’s exhibition launches and opening nights we can also provide a hanging and lighting service with full drink and food options too. Please get in touch.

Art at The Chambers Coffee Shop

Since our first day of trading we’ve displayed original local and international art In our ground floor Coffee Shop and also in our basement venue too when larger displays are required.

The beautiful, naturally lit white walled environment of the Coffee Shop makes for an ideal display area.

By using either the considerable wall space and/or our bespoke reversable, illuminated window picture hanging systems (that allow for 24 hour a day public window display or private viewing nights with pieces facing inwards too) we can provide just the right amount of space for any size or exhibition, display or private viewing launch nights.

Of course being a licensed venue with full catering facilities, we can provide exactly what’s required for private viewings and opening nights as needed too.

We welcome all styles of artwork from small individual to large format pieces, sculptures and audio/visual installs with projection and full audio facilities in-house.

The world of preserves, chutneys and jams is one of the oldest in the culinary universe and the HANDMADE BY LIZ range available at The Chambers ‘Market Place’ showcases this area of cooking expertise beautifully.

Liz has been the backbone of the food offering at The Chambers since the first days of our kitchens operating from June 1999.

The ‘Handmade’ range of products was initially born of Liz’s desire to cut food waste. When she’d have a seasonal glut from her own garden, or when local producers or even supermarkets had an excess of fruits or vegetables, Liz knew it was ethically wrong to just see it all discarded, so spent furious weeks making jars of joy!

Her delicate ingredient balancing skills and flavour combining ability are key to the success of her range, which encompasses seasonal fruits, exotic chutneys as well as fiery signature pickles & rich sauces, many of which are used day to day as ingredients in the Chambers menu!

The ‘Handmade By Liz’ range is sold exclusively at our in house market place, however we’re able to dispatch products securely, so if you’re a fan of her range but aren’t in Folkestone too often, just give us a call and we can fix your craving x
